Wearing the class-A Scout uniform (it's about respect):
Worn to all troop meetings** and ceremonies, formal civic events, when presenting flags, and whenever requested by troop leadership.
Worn only when clean and neat.
Shirts should always be tucked into pants/shorts. If pants/shorts have belt loops, use of an acceptable belt is expected.
Never worn with athletic clothes (gym shorts, sweats, etc.).
When wearing a neckerchief, it should be secured with an appropriate slide. When no slide, no neckerchief.
** Scouts may wear a class-B uniform to the first Tuesday evening troop meeting of each month.
When representing the troop outside of troop meetings and wearing the class-A uniform, the neckerchief, slide and sash should also be worn. At weekly scout meetings when wearing class-A uniforms, neither the neckerchief, slide, nor sash are required.
Presenting oneself at BoRs, Scoutmaster reviews, etc., the scout should be prepared to have their appearance evaluated as outlined in the uniform inspection sheet.
